This month, take a look at another great site for fantasy cartographers: Mapping Worlds, by Swedish mapper Pär Lindström. On this site he showcases a number of his maps, especially those of his fantasy world of Etrakien. You can find  large-scale overland maps, regional maps, and especially stunning city maps!

This site is an inspiration for me as Pär uses CC3 and the add-ons City Designer and Dungeon Designer a lot – before taking them into Photoshop and really taking them the extra mile. He also has some excellent tutorials on some of his techniques.

Pär is well-known also on the Profantasy website: his posts here are also cross-posted on the Profantasy blog if they concern CC3 etc, and he is extremely active on the forums. As well, he is the artist behind two beautiful ‘hand-drawn’ overland styles that have been developed as part of the Cartographer’s Annual; one way back in 2009, and the other about to be released in one days time…
