Game Boy, Game Boy Advance Hit Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy and Game Boy Advance

During the latest Nintendo Direct, It was revealed that Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games are being added to the Nintendo Switch Online service.

Game Boy titles will be available to all members of the service, while Game Boy Advance titles will only be accessible to those with the Expansion Pass.

Everything Coming to Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo has chosen some great titles to kick things off, including:

Game Boy – Launch Lineup

  • Tetris
  • Super Mario Land 2 – 6 Golden Coins
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX
  • Gargoyle’s Quest
  • Game & Watch Gallery 3
  • Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare
  • Metroid II – Return of Samus
  • Wario Land 3
  • Kirby’s Dream Land

In case you weren’t aware, Link’s Awakening is the best Zelda game so you should definitely play this one!

Nintendo’s website also highlights some of the titles we can expect to hit the Nintendo Switch Online service in the near future. There’s plenty of good stuff coming, but I’ve included the games most relevant to fans of the RPG genre below.

It’s great to see new consoles added to the Nintendo Switch Online service. It’s a convenient way to play some great games and also the introduction of even more Zelda games to the system. Good news all around, in my opinion!

Now, Nintendo, if you could please just put Mother 3 on the service, that would be great…
