Square Enix Asks Fans Which Titles Team Asano Should Work On Next

Square Enix Japan has released a survey asking fans which titles they’d like to see Team Asano, the developers behind the Bravely series, Octopath Traveler series, and Triangle Strategy, work on next.

The survey is a general questionnaire about the studio. However, the two questions causing a stir are “Which video game genre would you like to see Team Asano develop?” and “What kind of games would you like to see remade or remastered in the future? (Not limited to Square Enix titles)”.

It’s interesting a studio so well known for making RPGs would look to switch genres, but it’s not unheard of. Personally, I hope they’ll stick with what they’re good at and continue to create and remaster brilliant RPGs in HD-2D.

I think an obvious project everyone would like to see is a remaster of Chrono Trigger in the HD-2D style. However, there are a few others I’d like to see, such as Super Mario RPG, Dragon Quest V, and maybe even Terranigma!

In recent years, Team Asano has become one of my favourite developers, and I can’t wait to see what they lined up for us after Octopath Traveler II! For future news on the studio and the rest of Square Enix, you’re already in the right place here at RPGFan.
