Symphonic Suite Dragon Quest VII ~Warriors of Eden~

Review by · October 27, 2009

There are a few ways to understand the existence of this print. In 2009, King Records took the Symphonic Suite + OST print of Dragon Quest VII’s soundtrack from SPE visual Works and split it into two separate releases. This is the symphonic suite half (disc one, plus the first track of disc two), and then an OST half was released (all of disc two, except the first track).

But, another way to understand this disc is to consider it a reprint of the “Super-Audio CD” (SACD) version of the DQVII Symphonic Suite (catalog number SVWG-7069).

In any case, if you don’t find the Tokyo Metropolitan recordings to your liking, this is the only other version that exists (the game was too recent to have an NHK recording). In my opinion, the audio quality is great, but I’ve never been a huge fan of the DQVII source material. Take that into consideration before purchasing.
