Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis to Get a FFVI Crossover

Get ready to enter the Interceptor timeline on October 30th as Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis crosses over with Final Fantasy VI.

This eventā€”titled “FINAL FANTASY VI Crossover Cackling Court Mage Kefka”ā€”will feature new story content, single player and co-op battles, outfits, and weapons until it concludes on December 4th.

The cast will face off against Kefka in an original plotline, including direct gameplay confrontations with the mad clown himself. A new, metal-inspired rendition of ā€œDancing Madā€ will add to the thrills. (We can never have too many versions of Dancing Mad.)

Players will be able to obtain limited-time costumes and weapons through the gameā€™s gacha mechanics. These seeĀ Final Fantasy VII‘sĀ cast dressing up as their franchise predecessors, including:

  • Aerith as Terra (dreams do come true)
  • Cloud as Locke
  • Tifa as Sabin
  • Sephiroth as Edgar

Additionally, Crisis Core‘s Angealā€”whose younger self was recently introduced as a playable characterā€”will receive a free costume and weapon that resemble Cyanā€™s gear. Not having a Cait Sith reskin where the robot cat turns into Mog riding Umaro was a miss in my book, though.

If you need a refresher onĀ Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, itā€™s a gacha game that adapts the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII into digestible chunks, including all-new chapters focused on Sephirothā€™s younger years. Personally, Iā€™ve played the game every day since its launch and continue to love it. The new ā€œFirst Soldierā€ storyline is worth experiencing for fans of theĀ Final Fantasy VII RemakeĀ trilogy, as itā€™s stacking up to have plot implications on the final remake entry.
