Rhythm Encounter 27 – Planes, Trains, and Chocobos

Rhythm Encounter returns to its regular, non-four-hour-plus episode schedule with our latest and certainly greatest episode! Whether you want to hear me repeatedly make accidental innuendos, listen to a tune from Xenoblade Chronicles X (you do), or search every second of the show for more reasons to love game music, we’ve got you covered. Check it out below!

After a well-deserved break following our Music of the Year mega feature, Rhythm Encounter is back! This time we’re talking about travel themes, from airships to giant mechs to all-powerful gods. Stephen flexes his music muscles with some classic ship themes, Caitlin gets really moved by some of her oldest and newest favorites, and Mike squeezes some clever picks into this jam-packed episode. Our recent music section is also supersized to give you that much more awesome to listen to, featuring tunes from Final Fantasy, Xenoblade, and Okami.

Note: We had to re-number our episodes several years after publishing. This was originally Episode 21, as reflected in the audio. Don’t worry, you’re not missing anything!

Featuring: Stephen Meyerink, Caitlin Argyros, Mike Salbato

Stephen Meyerink

Stephen used to hang out here, but at some point he was either slain by Rob or disappeared after six hundred straight hours of chanting "I'm really feeling it!" while playing Smash Ultimate. (But seriously, Stephen ran RPGFan Music for a portion of his six years here, and launched our music podcast, Rhythm Encounter.)
