Rhythm Encounter 34 – Music of the Year 2015 – Second Movement

The Music of the Year train keeps on a-chugging with another special episode of Rhythm Encounter! Up this time is the middle episode in our usual MOTY trilogy — that automatically makes it the best, right? Of course it does, because this is also the episode where we invite some very special guests to join us and chat about their favorite music of 2015. This year, we’ve dedicated an entire episode just for them. Welcome back friends of the show Jayson Napolitano (Scarlet Moon Productions), Michael Cunningham (RPGamer), and Don Kotowski (Video Game Music Online)! They’ve brought some unexpected and undeniably catchy picks from 2015 to share with the RPGFan nation, so tune in and enjoy! With a veritable bounty of bonus interlude and background music, don’t miss the full tracklist with links to reviews/places to buy below.

Featuring: Stephen Meyerink, Caitlin Argyros, Mike Salbato, Jayson Napolitano, Michael A. Cunningham, Don Kotowski

Special Notes
In this episode, Don discusses an interview VGMO conducted with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD composer, Takeharu Ishimoto, so be sure to check that out!

Mike makes a comparison to Ailsean’s excellent Terra in Black on OverClocked ReMix (released in 2000!). After recording, we discovered Ailsean revisited the track with updated instrumentation, and released it under the title Terra Obsidian. You should listen to it.
