Rhythm Encounter 9 – Wild Wild West

On Rhythm Encounter, we’re all about including diversity in our track selection, so we took a break from our usually JRPG-heavy picks to bring you a smattering of music from Western-developed RPGs. If you’ve ever explored the city of Sigil, used alchemy to rescue Fire Eyes, or looked up the meaning of “Anachronox,” you should feel right at home with this episode.

When you think “memorable RPG music,” your mind might not wander beyond the Japanese classics many of us hold dear. We’re here to take off those blinders by exposing you to some of our favorite music from Western-developed RPGs. Our selections run the gamut from indie darlings to big-budget blockbusters, spanning several decades of aural excellence. Except for that one King’s Quest song. Come on, Stephen.
