Shenmue Orchestra Version

Review by · December 14, 1999

“The Shenmue Orchestra Version soundtrack can be summed up in one word: AWESOME. Imagine some of the greatest orchestrated pieces ever created, sprinkle a bit of eastern culture on top, and you come up with the music that’s on this CD. There’s a total of just over 37 minutes of music on the CD, and track 8 contains a very beautiful vocal song. If this is a sign of what’s to come on Sega’s upcoming release of this game, then I’m all the more excited. Shenmue’s music is a feast for the ears, and I really recommend this CD to music lovers.

Whether he was going by Parn, Synbios, or "Jason," (that one must be fake), his love of music led him to hosting the short-lived RPGFan Radio, but vitally, launching what is now called RPGFan Music. The thousands of album reviews we have today might not exist at all if not for Jason kickstarting the project.
